Harmon Marshall "Mike" Wolfe, age 90, of Columbia City, IN died at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2007 at his home. He was born the youngest son to Benjamin Franklin and Emma (Keifer) Wolfe in Columbia Township, Whitley County, IN on February 22, 1916.

He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1933 and spent his lifetime in the Columbia City area except for the time he served in the United States Army, in North Africa and Italy, during WWII from 1940-1945.

On June 23, 1946, he was united in marriage to Doris S. Mace at Coesse United Methodist Church. He worked for Transport Service, Cook's Garage, and retired from LML in 1981, after 31 years of service. He was a member of Columbia City VFW, the United Methodist Church and Eagles Lodge #1906.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Sally (Donald) Souder, Webster Grove, MO, Roberta J. Meagher, Columbia City, IN, and Lana L. (Richard Hull) Hendry, Columbia City, IN; 1 sister-in-law, Carol Brandt of Columbia City, IN; 4 granddaughters, Tammy (David) Dyson and Michelle Hendry, Columbia City, IN, Sonja (Jake) Wink, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Kathy Tucker, Charleston, SC; 2 grandsons, Michael Meagher, Charleston, SC and Troy Shifflett, Columbia City, IN; 10 great grandchildren, Christina Woodward, Jade and Kayla Hendry, all of Columbia City, IN, Brittney Meagher, Alex and Jason Tucker, all of Charleston, SC, Tara and Scott Wink, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Dean Dyson and Zack Shifflett both of Columbia City; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Olivia Woodward, Columbia City, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris S. Wolfe, 4 brothers, Jacob Cliffton, William, Carl and Burdell Wolfe and 1 nephew, Kenneth Wolfe.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. with an Eagles Lodge Twilight Memorial Service at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the funeral home with the Reverend Curtiss Johnson officiating. Graveside committal service and military rites by American Legion Post #98 will immediately follow at Eberhard Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia City, IN.
