Notes:	Ben P. Crowell, 84, of North Webster, a World War II Army Air Force veteran, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Milford. The Raber native retired in 1974 from Bendix Corp. in South Bend and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in South Bend. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara J. Ramenda of South Bend; two grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L., brothers Walter and Donald, and sisters Ruth Orton and Elouise Blackburn. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with calling one hour before services and also from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
