of Columbia City, IN passed away at 11:16 a.m. on Saturday April 27,2013, at her Residence. Born on April 7, 1951 in Huntington, she was the daughter of William Charles Kelsey and Vivian Charlotte (Bodey) Stotts.

Charlotte grew up in Huntington, IN. and moved to Whitley County in 1967. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School, Class of 1970. Chris attended the Practical Nursing Program, Class of 1977, receiving her LPN., and later received an Associate Degree in Applied Science - Nursing obtaining her RN in 1991.

On January 23, 1971 she married Lawrence Bernarr Paulus at Jefferson Chapel United Methodist Church. She has worked as a L.P.N.C. at Whitley Memorial Hospital, Columbia City, IN. for 14 years, a Registered Nurse since 1992 for House Call Home Health Care, Heartland Hospice from June 1998-2003 and from 2003 - 2009 she has worked for visiting Nurse & Hospice Home serving the Fort Wayne and surounding counties. Cancer treatment put her into retirement, yet Chris continued to volunteer for Visiting Nurse Hospice Home during that time.

She is a member of Columbia City United Methodist Church, was a Sunday School teacher and is a pre-school Board member. She is a member of the Columbia City American Legion Post # 98 Auxilliary, served on the Community Christmas Committee and was also a Tabatha Circle member of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her Husband, Lawrence Bernarr Paulus of Columbia City, IN; Sons William Daniel (Arlinda) Paulus of Columbia City and Nicholas Andrew (Desiree) Paulus of Fort Wayne; Father, William Charles (Sue) Kelsey of Huntington; Mother, Vivian Charlotte (Bodey) Stotts of Columbia City; Brothers, Charles L.(Vicki) Kelsey of North Manchester, Cary Dean (Betty) Kelsey of Elkhart; Sisters, Mary Susan (Dan) Riccius of North Manchester, Shirley M. (Charles) Fox of Indianapolis, Sharon Kay Lee of Fort Wayne, Amy Lou (Bob) Blake of Vincennes; 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Brother, Larry Allen Kelsey; Sister, Viola V. Moore

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 2, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Demoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 3, 2013, at Columbia City United Methodist Church, 605 N. Forest Parkway, with calling one hour prior. Pastor David Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Memorial gifts may be given in Charlotte "Chris" Paulus's memory to Columbia City United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Please visit www.demoneygrimes.com to send family condolences or sign the guest register book.
