Mr. Hurtt was regional vice-president of the National Association for Hospital Development; state president of the Indiana Association for Hospital Development; a presenter at state and national conventions; Stakeholder in Northeast Health; member of Farnsworth Museum; member of Indiana State University and Indiana University Alumni Associations; member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

In addition to his wife of more than 41 years, Rita, he is survived by a daughter, Allison P. (Michael J.) Norris of Long Island, N.Y.; a son, Andrew O. Hurtt, a student at the University of Maine, Orono; two granddaughters; and a sister-in-law, Lynn Hurtt (Dan) Podraza of Chicago, Illinois

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday April 5, at St. James Catholic Church, Main Street, Thomaston, Maine. Interment will be at the convenience of his family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
