He is survived by his sons, Randall S. (Michelle) Burns of Garrett and Michael Burns of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Kim Ann (Danny) Quackenbush of Dundee, Fla.; former spouse and close friend, Violet Burns of Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Angela, Andrew, Zackery, Jacob, and Lauren; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Chayles, Morgan, Aidan, Gage, (2), and Adrian; and sister, Carolyn Thatcher of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy L. Burns.

Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials to Lions Club.
